Founder Otto Leon York 1979 Meter Provers, Inc. Meter Provers, Inc. was established and incorporated in 1979, in the state of Oklahoma by Otto Leon York, his wife Mary and his oldest son Steven. The company’s first meter prover and truck was based out of Sand Springs. Otto Leon, Mary and Steve built this business from the ground up partaking in an independent, arduous journey of blazing new trails, acquiring solid accounts and professionally and successfully maintaining them while his other three sons, Keith, Brad, and John and one daughter Angie, were at home completing their education. Eventually when all were able they began assisting their father Otto in the meter proving activities, along with Mary’s brother John Wilson, aka “Uncle Johnny”. As time went on more meter provers and trucks were purchased and the company began to grow into the successful organization it is now with branches in Wyoming and New Mexico.
